Dr. Matt Wiersma
Dr. Matt Wiersma was born and raised in St. Johns Michigan and attended high school there. He then went on to attend Alma College where he received a Bachelors of Science Magna Cum Laude in Athletic Training.
He then moved to St. Louis Missouri where he attended Logan University and received a Doctorate of Chiropractic Magna Cum Laude. While at Logan University, he was involved with the Motion Palpation Institute, Rehab 2 Performance, and Forward Thinking Chiropractic clubs.
Dr. Wiersma seeks to be an evidence-based physician that practices within the guidelines of current research. While attending Chiropractic school, he attended over 300 hours of continuing education courses including: Motion Palpation Adjusting, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and more. He also has clinical experience in a sports medicine focused chiropractic clinic and a clinic that specializes in spinal cord injuries.
Dr. Wiersma married his high school sweetheart in 2018. They are excited to be back in Michigan and to plant some roots. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, hunting, fishing and any form of outdoors work.
Fun Fact: Dr. Wiersma started a quest in 2014 to find the best bar burger!
